Emerson Avenue Baptist Church Staff

  Rev. Justin Thornburgh, Pastor

Pastor Justin comes to Emerson Avenue from North Shore Baptist Church in Chicago. He was ordained there in October of 2012 and has been with us since January of 2013. Justin is a believer in the the radical hospitality of Jesus Christ, and believes all have a place in the Reign of God. He is active in social justice issues. The issue of youth violence is close to his heart.

Pastor comes to Emerson with his wife, Mae, and their daughter Aibhilín. He enjoys reading, writing, and playing table top role playing games. And of course is a huge Dr. Who fan.

He wishes to share that, "All who desire, are welcome at Emerson!"

Feel free to email Pastor Justin at pastorjustineab@gmail.com

Anne Mader, Church Administrator

Anne Mader, our church administrator, hails originally from New York City, but she has lived in Indianapolis long enough to be considered a Hoosier.  After retiring from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service at Fort Benjamin Harrison, she came to work for the church in 2012.  She is the mother of two and the grandmother of three.  In her spare time she likes to read, crochet, paint and sometimes she attempts to garden.  She truly enjoys the fellowship that accompanies attendance at Emerson.

You can reach Anne by emailing eab.church@sbcglobal.net or calling 317-356-0965

Rosie Butler, MA, LSW, Director of the ICAN Assistance Center

Long acquainted with the Irvington Community, through her years working with the Marion County Children's Guardian Home, Rosie was excited to return to work within the community in October 2011 with the Irvington congregations in their community outreach.  She likes to remind people though, that she is only a social worker...not a miracle worker, that is our Lord's work!
